Monmouth players rucked quickly and effectively. Forwards were at every other breakdown, consistently providing support to players going into contact. The back line was strong, strategic, and fast. The lineouts were successful and proved crucial in maintaining ball possession. Phases were completed, allowing Monmouth to advance across the field.
In the second half, NYRC started kicking the ball downfield and ran up the score. Multiple players were injured and taken off the field. With 25 minutes left in the match, the relentless Renegades finished the game with fourteen players on the pitch. Even as players were injured and the team shrank, Monmouth maintained their grit and perseverance.
