in what is shaping up as the monmouth mens most important match in recent history, the four-win and three-loss monmouth men take on the five-win and two-loss new york rugby club in a battle for second place and the right to host in the NRU crossovers. monmouth is coming off of a bye week, after defeating the bayonne bombers for our first road victory of the 2010 fall season, while new york is coming off of a 41 to 19 defeat of the morris lions.

new york currently holds a two point advantage in the standings, as well the tiebreaker in hands of point differentials and victories. but monmouth has managed seven bonus points, meaning the voctor of this match will host the representitive team from NERFU while the loser will likely need to travel to the boston area to take on either the boston irish wolfhounds or mystic river.

kickoff will be at 1PM, this saturday, with second side match to follow. as always, thompson park, with the wilde rover to follow.
