Monmouth had a tough day in Hatfield, going 0-3 and eliminated after pool play. We started off with a tough Baltimore-Chesapeake team losing 38-7. The team improved a bit in the second match, but still fell 24-12 to Reading. Finally, in a match we should have won, dropped to Drexel 19-12 to after giving away a few long scores while failing to capitalize on several good opportunities. Overall, our lack of experience as 7s team showed as we gave away several long breaks. We’ll now have 3 weeks to get ready for the next tournament at Harrisburg.
