Welcome to the Monmouth Rugby Football Club! The goal of the youth program is to introduce the sport of rugby to a new generation. We aim to promote the growth and development of the game of rugby by providing education about, and facilitating participation in, amateur sport, sportsmanship, and citizenship through the traditions of rugby.
The U-19 program began in 2011 with the addition of a high school boys’ side, Monmouth Maulers, to the existing club consisting of two men’s sides and a women’s side. Due to the popularity of the boys’ team we were able to expand in 2014 to include a high school girls’ side. The program has enthusiastic support from the senior players and alumni, who coach the U-19s on a volunteer basis.
Monmouth rugby U-19s is a competitive rugby program for boys and girls ages 14 through 18. The program does not hold tryouts and is open to all. We compete in the Empire Geographic Union against teams from across New Jersey and New York. In 2015 several of our players – boys and girls – qualified for NJ All-Star Teams.
