Vicki MacBeth

Vicki started playing rugby at Rutgers University and after she graduated in 1994, she joined the Monmouth Women’s team.   She and her husband Bruce have both been active members of Monmouth RFC for many years. They even went on 1999 World Cup Tour to Ireland as part of their honeymoon!
Vicki was very active in the club both on and off the pitch; she held many offices on the executive board of the women’s club, and was President of the women’s club for two years.  Vicki played as a prop and hooker for Monmouth.  Vicki played in many tournaments with Monmouth, including the finals and semi-finals at Saranac Lake many times.  She also played in many METNY Division 2 Championship games as well as some NRU championship games.  She was a forward thru and thru, even playing rugby shortly after giving birth to her first daughter!
Victoria “Vicki” Knight-MacBeth was an active member of Monmouth RFC for many years.  Unfortunately, she lost her valiant fight with lung cancer a few years back but the Monmouth Rugby Club remembers her fondly and beautifully.  Anyone that was lucky enough to know Vicki knew what a special force she was on an off the pitch.  She was a daughter, a wife, a mother, and a rugby player. Most of all, and first, she was a friend to all.   She will be deeply missed by all of us who were lucky enough to have her in our lives.
