The men’s team’s season ended this past Saturday, falling to the Potomac Athletic Club in the National Round of 32. PAC Rugby is ranked #6 nationally and has perennially contended on the national rugby playoffs.
Our Monmouth boys held a lead late in the game, but the PAC forwards held enough girth to touch down twice in the last fifteen minutes to come out with a 31 to 25 victory. Though PAC held possession for over 60 minutes of match time, Monmouth felt a win was very close right up to the last whistle.
Potomac plays Mystic River this upcoming weekend, after Mystic barely edged out a win over Schuylkill River, 28 to 25. Monmouth wishes both teams the best of luck.
